What is an Affiliate Program?

Affiliate programs are a way for web site owners like you to be compensated for driving traffic and sales to online merchant sites. You simply place a link on your web site (or in your e-mail) that, when clicked, sends visitors to a merchant's site to purchase a product. It's a win-win partnership, because you increase revenue while merchants enjoy increased traffic.

What is ISTAXES?

Developed in 2003, ISTAXES is an online tax preparation software aimed at the consumer market. This easy-to-use application handles federal tax returns for the U.S. nonresident aliens.

What is the cost to prepare a tax form using ISTAXES?

There is no charge to register and enter personal information for the taxpayer. Payment is required only when a customer is ready to purchase the tax form desired. For the 2008 tax filing year, ISTAXES will charge a maximum of $19.99 per form. A credit card is required (all major credit cards are accepted).

Joining the ISTAXES Affiliate Program

How do I sign up?

To get started, go to the Affiliate Program Agreement and apply online. Of course, our representatives are available to assist you anytime. Begin Now!

Is my web site eligible to become an affiliate?

ISTAXES wants to work with all web sites, from large business sites to individual web sites. Anyone may submit an application, and we review each and every potential affiliate site before accepting it into the program. We do reserve the right to refuse a site. Examples of sites that do NOT qualify for participation include:

* Sites that promote sexually explicit material.

* Sites that promote violence.

* Sites that promote discrimination based on race, sex, religion, national origin, physical disability, sexual orientation, or age.

* Sites that promote illegal activities.

* Sites that violate intellectual property rights.

How much money can I earn?

It's unlimited! To earn the commission fee, your web site visitor must click-through a link from your site (or e-mail) to the ISTAXES site. In addition, their tax return must be printed, with full payment made. We will only pay commissions after payment and/or printing of a completed tax form has occurred.

How much will it cost me to join the ISTAXES Affiliate Program?

Nothing! It is absolutely free to join the ISTAXES Affiliate Program. Begin the registration process.

Do I have to meet any quotas?

No, we do not require affiliates to meet any quotas.

I don't have a web site yet. Can I still apply to be an affiliate with ISTAXES?

As long as you have an e-mail address, you can still become an affiliate. You may promote ISTAXES through your e-mail address to earn commissions. If your web site is "under construction" please apply after your site has launched.

Can a non-profit organization join the ISTAXES Affiliate Program?

Yes, we encourage non-profits and educational institutions to join our program.

Setting Up Links

How do I link to the ISTAXES web site?

ISTAXES provides different types of hypertext links and graphic links. After you have become an active affiliate of our program, you will be able to choose from the links that we will make available to you. If you would like to alter any of the images provided, you MUST get approval from our Affiliate Manager by e-mailing us at affiliates@istaxes.com.

How can I promote ISTAXES?

ISTAXES will provide banners, graphic and text links that you can place on your site. These links will be continuously updated with tax season reminders, new updates and/or promotions. We have found that the text links are the most effective marketing tool for generating ISTAXES sales. One proven and effective way to build traffic is to submit your site to multiple search engines and register on affiliate-focused web sites.

Can I use the ISTAXES logo on my site?

You can use any of the images that we have provided once you are approved in our Affiliate Program. Please remember that each of these images must contain a unique identifier and HTML code in order to receive credit for any sales. If you would like to alter any of the images provided, you MUST get approval from our Affiliate Manager by e-mailing us at affiliates@istaxes.com.

Can I use ISTAXES in my URL or in the name of my site?

No. The use of ISTAXES.com or any variation thereof in your URL or in the name of your site will be cause for your immediate dismissal from the affiliate program. In such a case when you breach the affiliate agreement, you thereby forfeit any earned commissions.

What kind of advertising is prohibited?

You cannot send unsolicited e-mail (i.e. spam) in any way. There will be no leniency in cases of unsolicited e-mail, and affiliates in violation of this policy will forfeit their commissions and be removed from the program.

Can I distribute a press release or other kind of announcement regarding my affiliation with ISTAXES?

If you would like to make any announcements, you MUST get approval from our Affiliate Manager by e-mailing us at affiliates@istaxes.com.

Tracking and Payment

How are click-troughs and sales tracked?

Traffic and sales numbers are tracked by ISTAXES's online network system. Each link you use contains a unique tracking code that lets us know where the links came from. After you are approved into our Affiliate Program, an e-mail is sent to you with instructions on how to easily upload ISTAXES banners, text links and graphics.

How often do I receive a check for revenue sharing?

You will be paid twice a year at the end of the respective tax filing deadline (April 15, October 15). If your commission is less than $25, the total amount will be carried over until the amount reaches $25.
